HTS was founded by Stefan and Michael Koch. The Koch family has been involved in the innovation and supply of load moving systems such the hydraulic jack, the toe jack, machine moving skates and hoist rings for over 40 years. Many of our load moving systems, particularly the hydraulic jack and machine moving skates have been developed in response to feedback from our many established customers over the years, and we have become experts in adapting the use of hydraulic jack technology as load moving systems.

HTS direct Limited was founded in the UK in 2003 (we have existed in Germany for much longer) and is based in Cannock in the West Midlands, making us convenient for deliveries to many parts of the UK. We try to ensure that all HTS manufactured load moving systems, hydraulic jacks, machine moving skates and our toe jack selection are in stock at all times. Our history in creating load moving systems, machine moving skates and reinventing hydraulic jack related technology goes as far back to 1970, when our family created one of the early machine moving skates which had a 30 ton holding capacity. This was groundbreaking at the time in terms of expanding the use of the idea of the hydraulic jack as independent load moving systems. After many more innovations, we started to make the toe jack in 1999 when we produced three capacities of toe jack, going up to a capacity of 50 tonnes.

Other load moving systems we created in 1999 included more inventively designed machine moving skates with capacities of up to 128 tonnes. Our design and manufacture innovation in load moving systems has continued since then, with further developments in and the application of hydraulic jack technology. We have expanded our toe jack series and  we also sell hoist rings for when lifting is required.

The hydraulic jack as a toe jack

One of our pioneering load moving systems has been a specialized hydraulic jack in the form of a toe jack. This most effective of load moving systems is essentially a kind of hydraulic jack, with many ingenious features. The toe part of the toe jack is the relatively small area that can get underneath the area that needs to be lifted. This is useful for small but heavy bits of machinery which do not warrant the use of machine moving skates or other, heavy duty load moving systems, or parts of machinery that would be almost impossible to lift up safely any other way. Included in our toe jack range of load moving systems are the Eco- Jack S-Series – the original, the Eco-Jack SX Series for external pumps, the Eco-Jack XR-Series with integrated pull back system for external pumps and the Eco-Jack G-Series, which has a special lifting claw for forklifts. Load moving systems on wheels - machine moving skates as a mobile hydraulic jack.

As a mobile load moving system, machine moving skates are a clever use of hydraulic jack technology that will allow you to move heavy bits of machinery, equipment or deliveries around in a safe way. Our machine moving skates are made from durable materials that are also highly mobile and put together with some pioneering engineering design, making our machine moving skates amongst the best on the market. All our machine moving skates have high quality polyurethane wheels for both smooth movement and strength.

The wheel systems of our machine moving skates also have in-built, swiveling wheel boxes, which can absorb movements over uneven floors, increasing the range of environments that our machine moving skates can be used in. As safety both of people and equipment is a concern when moving heavy loads, our machine moving skates are fitted with anti-slip rubber pads to secure the item being moved. As load moving systems, most of our machine moving skates have parts that are interchangeable with other machine moving skates, meaning that you may not have to buy each system as a whole. This combining of the parts of machine moving skates can increase the range of problems that you can solve with our mobile load moving systems.

One of our standard machine moving skates is the Eco Skate i-Series, which as a load moving system is able to move loads of up to 24 tonnes with the aid of a hydraulic jack lifting apparatus. Our Eco-Skate i-Series XL is an essential part of our range of machine moving skates, as it is one of our extra-large load moving systems. Despite its width, the axles and bearings are supported and enclosed within the frame, making it impossible to bend an axle even if it has been overloaded for a short time.

The Eco-Skate DUO is a machine moving skate that can be combined with other machine moving skates to provide 4-point load moving systems. They are designed for extra long or wide machines that will need stability over a broader base from the load moving system being used. One of our best creative designs for machine movable skates is the Eco-Skate ROTO – 360, which can be combined with other suitable machine moving skates from our range in order to move loads through 360 degrees, allowing for ease of positioning. We also have similar hydraulic jack related mobile technology for use in clean rooms such as for the pharmaceutical and the food industries.

Hoist rings as a load moving system for lifting

Hoist rings form an essential part of load moving systems where lifting from above is required. The use of hoist rings is essential for some loads which needed to be lifted by a crane, when hoist rings would form the contact between the lifting cable and the object to be lifted. All of the hoist rings that we supply are made by ACTEK from the USA and have a minimum 5:1 safety factor. They have a lifting capacity that varies from 200 to 44,600 kilograms. Outstanding features of some of our hoist rings have include the ability to swivel 360 degrees and pivot 180 degrees. All of our hoist rings are heat treated and 100% magnetic particle inspected, as well as 200% proof load tested.
